KONTRIBUSI USAHA TANI TEMBAKAU TERHADAP PENDAPATAN TOTAL RUMAH TANGGA DI KECAMATAN SITUJUAH LIMO NAGARI KABUPATEN LIMA PULUH KOTA

Lima Puluh Kota Regency is the main producer of tobacco plants in West Sumatra, which is 195.30 tons. When viewed from the area of people's plantations and the level of production in Lima Puluh Kota Regency in 2020, there are several sub-districts that carry out tobacco farming, one of which is Situjuah Limo Nagari sub-district. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors driving and inhibiting tobacco farming, to find out how much tobacco farming contributes to total household income, and to determine the income of tobacco farmers when compared to the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) of West Sumatra. This research was started from May to July 2021. The data analysis method used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the contribution of tobacco farming to total family income in Situjuah Limo Nagari
District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, which is 44% is categorized as low contribution. And the average income of tobacco farmers is Rp. 1,538,640 smaller than the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) of West Sumatra which is Rp. 2,484,041.Keywords: Tobacco, Contribution, Income, Farming
