This study aims to determine (1) to determine the effect of soaking time in coconut water on the growth of elephant ginger rhizome seeds in the nursery (2) to determine the best soaking treatment time in increasing the growth of elephant ginger seedlings rhizome in the nursery. The study was conducted in March – May 2021 using a completely randomized design (Ral) method with 1 factor 5 treatments and 5 replications, namely: P0 = soaked in plain water for 4 hours, P1 = soaked in coconut water for 4 hours, P2 = soaked in water coconut water for 8 hours, P3 = soaking in coconut water for 12 hours, and P4 = soaking in coconut water for 16 hours. The results showed that the treatment duration of soaking the seeds with young coconut water affected the age of shoots, the difference between the weight of the rhizome before soaking and after soaking and the difference between the weight of the ginger rhizome sown and the weight of the seeds planted, while on the parameters of the height of the seed, the number of leaves and the percentage of growth. no effect on treatment. The best treatment for 16 hours was the age of budding and the difference between the weight of the rhizome before soaking and after soaking and the difference between the weight of the ginger rhizome sown and the weight of the seeds planted.
